John Daghita, known as Lick, was apprehended by the FBI in the Caribbean for allegedly siphoning $46 million in confiscated cryptocurrencies from the US Marshals Service. The theft traces back to 2024, when Command Services & Support, Inc. (CMDSS) secured a contract with the US Department of Justice and Department of Defense to manage asset disposal. John, an employee of CMDSS and son of its head, Dean Daghita, exploited his position to transfer seized digital assets to personal wallets.

His anonymity unraveled on January 23, 2026, after he boasted about the theft to another individual, Dritan Kapplani Jr., in a recorded conversation. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT linked the disclosed wallet address to multiple scams and a US government account drained in 2024. The case underscores the risks of flaunting illicit gains—a recurring pitfall for threat actors.
